The failed baby sitting with her sister Rebecca ends with a ruined apartment and the destroyed paintings of her father. In addition, she also loses her job and her friend Holger. The notoriously single and not-so-successful womanizer Max has settled down perfectly into his bachelor life when suddenly the enchanting Lisa, sister of his flatmate and partner Ulli, appears on his doorstep and asks to stay for the next four weeks. Nothing better than that, Max thinks to himself and smells prey. But in no time at all, Lisa's appeal is gone when Max realizes that she hasn't come alone: she has her sweet baby Maya with her - and that's the last straw for Max. How is he and Ulli supposed to win the city council's architectural competition if a toddler is constantly bawling in their ears? Ulli insists on helping Lisa and puts a gun to Max's head: either mother and child can stay - or he will leave the apartment they share.

3 German men of about 40 years old decide to take a men-only holiday only in a luxurious villa at a small lake in Sweden. They are there to make up the balance of their lives. Thomas a chain-smoking hypochondriac, Jens undecided between his wife and kids and his mistress, Malte a fun loving sort of macho. In Sweden they party with beer, wine, vodka and barbecue and soon with some new male and female acquaintances. This goes on until halfway the movie things take a turn and they have a good look at themselves and each other and come to some enlightening conclusions.
